Academic internships, short dissertation and doctoral research projects

We welcome hosting formal internships and academic research projects (Undergraduate, Masters, and Doctoral dissertations) in coastal and marine systems in both the natural and social sciences. Interested candidates are encouraged to go through the various programmes and projects on our website. If you find a particular programme or project that matches your interest, please write to the respective Programme Head or Programme Officer to discuss it further. Bear in mind that ideas that align closely with our ongoing work will have better chances of finding support.

To make the entire process smooth and efficient, please share the below details when you write to us.

  1. Include a copy of your latest CV, your areas of interest and a tentative timeline.

  2. To manage expectations better, we encourage you to let us know your course and institutional requirements, stipend and other forms of support expected, and IPR-related matters.

  3. If you are simultaneously discussing your ideas with other potential supervisors within Dakshin or other institutions, do not hesitate to let us know.

Wishing you good luck!
