Profile: Sharang is a Senior Programme Associate with the SeaChange Andaman site team. His primary role is to translate ecological and socio-economic data into actionable insights that can inform conservation planning, fisheries governance, and on-ground decision-making. He is interested in how scientific evidence can be meaningfully integrated with local knowledge to support sustainable fisheries and livelihoods.

Prior to joining Dakshin, he was engaged in projects related to sustainable shark fisheries in Kochi, ghost gear mitigation initiatives in Goa, and the performance assessment of data-deficient fisheries in Gujarat.

Outside of work, Sharang enjoys solo travel, is an avid movie enthusiast, and likes gaming.
