Profile: Rajesh Kumar Swain has recently joined Dakshin Foundation as a Senior Programme Associate under the SeaChange initiative. He is a livelihood and community development professional with nearly ten years of experience working with rural, tribal and marginalised communities in Odisha. With a strong academic background in Social Work, Economics, Finance and Management, he specialises in livelihood generation, women’s empowerment, enterprise development and convergence with government welfare schemes.

Rajesh has extensive experience in strengthening women-led Self-Help Groups through entrepreneurship, financial literacy and market linkages, supporting sustainable, women-driven enterprises. He has also worked closely with farmers, FPOs, and tribal communities on sustainable agriculture, millet promotion, organic farming, nutrition security and forest-based livelihoods, with a strong focus on community institutions and inclusive socio-economic development.
