Profile: Muankimi (Kim) has always had a soft corner for environmental causes since childhood, with a deep love for nature and a mindful approach to using natural resources. Before joining Dakshin, she worked in the space of improving learning levels in government schools and developing 21st-century skills in children through visual art.

The COVID-19 pandemic ignited a strong passion in her to shift her career towards climate change. She began giving back to the environment by starting a kitchen garden, composting, and making bio-enzymes at home – practices she continues to enjoy to this day. In her free time, she also helps others start home composting.

Her growing passion for environmental causes led her to seek opportunities in the same field, which eventually brought her to Dakshin.

At Dakshin, she supports the fundraising and communications team by leading proposal development, managing donor communications, and maintaining a robust fundraising database. She plays a key role in coordinating institutional grants for the flagship SeaChange initiative, ensuring seamless documentation and grant management.
