Profile: Having lived in different parts of the country since early childhood, Kiran has always been fascinated by how different dialects or languages, cuisines, and folk stories shape communities. After working for nearly 5 years in the oil and petrochemical sectors, Kiran decided to choose a different career to work closely with communities and understand their behaviour. During his Masters, Kiran also developed an interest in understanding how climate change impacts different communities. Before joining Dakshin, Kiran worked in a civil society organization looking after design, implementation, impact assessment, and reporting of programmes in the domains of energy, behaviour change, sustainable skilling, and livelihood.
At Dakshin, Kiran looks after developing the monitoring and evaluation framework for the SeaChange initiative. Dakshin’s SeaChange initiative looks at the interconnected nature of issues in coastal landscapes and aims to secure healthy ecosystems and thriving communities by unlocking local potential, strengthening institutions and building bridges between stakeholders. He is also responsible for contributing to funding proposals and tracking fundraising opportunities.
