Jayadev Nayak is a dedicated field staff at Dakshin Foundation’s Odisha site. He studied up to matriculation and worked at Gopalpur Port from 2018 to 2025 before joining Dakshin.

At Dakshin Foundation, Jayadev is actively involved in marine turtle conservation, particularly during the turtle nesting season. His responsibilities include night patrolling, nest relocation, hatchling release, and hatchery management. He also supports sample collection for studies on hatchling sex ratios and contributes to arribada census and mass hatchling data collection. Through his fieldwork, he plays an important role in supporting turtle monitoring, conservation, and research activities.

Beyond his conservation work, Jayadev is an enthusiastic volleyball player and enjoys playing the sport during his free time. He also takes an active interest in conservation-related activities and enjoys contributing to field-based initiatives beyond his regular responsibilities.
