Profile: Akash is a programme coordination professional with over six years of experience working closely with communities to strengthen livelihoods and promote inclusive progress. The greatest motivation in his work comes from witnessing the joy of community members when they are finally able to access resources and services that are rightfully theirs, often after years of exclusion. These moments of hope and relief continue to inspire him to work for and alongside people.
In his role as a programme coordination professional, Akash has focused on coordinating and closely monitoring community-based programs across livelihoods, health and WASH initiatives. He places strong value on field monitoring, data accuracy and documentation – not just as systems, but as tools for learning, accountability and continuous improvement. He finds deep satisfaction in seeing community members grow in confidence and capability, making informed decisions and addressing their own challenges even after projects are completed.
At Dakshin, he hopes to use his skills and experience to the best of his abilities and contribute meaningfully to bringing positive change to the lives of coastal communities.
