Profile: Sreyasi is a social anthropologist focusing on environmental justice, food security, and dignified livelihoods. Trained in the humanities and social sciences, she works alongside marginalised communities to amplify their voices and co-create strategies that respond to the realities they navigate every day.
At Dakshin Foundation, Sreyasi is part of the Sustainable Fisheries & Livelihoods Programme, focusing on designing and implementing systems that make projects responsive, efficient, and rooted in local priorities. Seeking structural solutions to structural problems, she bridges operational work with participatory methods and combines rigorous, context-sensitive research with collaborative on-ground implementation, enabling equitable, locally led, and adaptable interventions. For Sreyasi, this work is as much about process as it is about outcomes; building pathways that allow marginalised communities to define and shape futures on their own terms.
