Profile: Sneha is a passionate development professional with a strong academic background and diverse experience in tribal governance, community development, and livelihood promotion. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a master’s degree in Rural Development and Governance.

She has worked as a Field Investigator with the Department of Economics and Public Policy, University of Mumbai, on the Thane District Human Development Report under the guidance of Prof. Neeraj Hatekar. After completing her master’s degree, she joined as a Research Associate with Prof. Ashwini Chhatre at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, where she worked with the Forest Governance Team on a research database on forest products in the Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra.

Sneha began working with Aroehan in June 2022, where she was responsible for improving health, nutrition, and governance practices in the Dahanu block of Palghar district, Maharashtra. She also contributes to minority rights through volunteer work with the Mumbai-based Bebaak Collective.

Her areas of interest include local governance, forest rights, tribal governance, community development, and livelihood promotion. At the Dakshin Foundation, she has joined the SeaChange initiative in Sindhudurg, Maharashtra.
