Profile: Dipani is an environmentalist and an ecologist interested in biogeography, behavioural ecology and urban ecology. After her PhD in 2009, she has been mentoring students of marine ecology, specifically marine mammals, while carrying out independent research herself, and curates www.marinemammals.in. She is an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow at JCU, Australia; Visiting Faculty at CEPT, Ahmedabad; and a member of the IUCN Cetacean Specialist Group, Marine Mammal Protected Areas Taskforce, and a board member of the Society of Marine Mammalogy. While not at sea, Dipani studies urban and peri-urban floral ecology and runs a native plant nursery. The details of her current Pew project hosted by Dakshin Foundation can be found here.
