Profile: Manoj Madame is a development professional from Sirpur, a small village in the Gondia district of Maharashtra. Growing up in a rural setting, he developed a deep understanding of the challenges faced by rural communities in sustaining their livelihoods. He holds a Master’s degree in Development from Azim Premji University, Bengaluru, and brings over four years of experience in the development sector.
Manoj has worked with reputed organisations such as the Foundation for Ecological Security, the Social Organisation for Rural Development, and Skill Tree Consultancy. His work has primarily focused on natural resource management, sustainable livelihoods, and strengthening community governance.
His professional interests lie at the intersection of caste, ecology, and community governance, where he aims to foster inclusive and sustainable rural development. Passionate about engaging with marginalised communities and youth, Manoj continues to work towards creating equitable and ecologically resilient village economies.
In his personal time, he enjoys reading books on social justice, human rights, and social movements in India, which continually shape his perspective and commitment to social transformation.
